How Does An Engineer Sharpen A Pencil?

It’s that time of year, and I sat at the dining room table this morning with two checklists and piles of glue sticks, erasers, markers and the ubiquitous pencil. Between the two boys we were required to purchase 60, so I sent them off to the garage to ask Daddy to sharpen them on our decrepit, circa 1960 sharpener that Milo, the previous owner, had affixed to the garage wall.

I started to get suspicious when I heard whooping and cheering from the garage.  How DOES an engineer sharpen 60 pencils?

With power tools, of course.
