>It’s a DIY kind of weekend!

I don’t know about you, but sitting around watching movies is for dark and rainy weekends. When the sun is out, I’m itching to get outside and get my hands dirty. Today, I’m headed out to the garage to see what projects have been languishing in the dust all winter. Time to pull out the paints, and create a little spring drama around the house.

Need some motivation yourself? Look no further – here’s a few ideas to help you get your creative on.

One of my favorite DIY bloggers, Kate from Censational Girl, (“fabulous, for less”) has compiled this gorgeous collection of ideas from all over the web. I love this stunning vase (always been a sucker for Gerberas); had with a painter’s tape and litte spray-on glass paint. I can do that! Easy!

This and a dozen other fab ideas can be found over at her post: From My DIY Inspiration Files.

Or, how about this? An easy, inexpensive, yet stunning Easter centerpiece, courtesy of Sandy Coughlin over at her charming, homey blog Reluctant Entertainer: Real Entertaining for Real People.

Last, another great collection of ideas courtesy of Sunset Magazine online: Reinvent your stuff: 20 fun DIY projects. LOVE this idea: mis-matched vintage plates become a fluid, abstract and modern display. (It’s just so Anthropologie!)

Now get out there and get your crafty on!
Let me know how it goes!
Happy weekend!
