Five Minute Friday: Catch
October 14, 2011
Catch!
And a kiss is thrown
Across the room as I stand at the door
Smiling and waving goodbye.
Catch!
The crack of a bat
A cheer from the stands
The outfield scrambles, mits in the air.
Catch!
A small body launches
From the couch, or a chair, or a bench
Through the air into Dad’s waiting arms.
Catch!
Catch the ball
Catch your breath
Catch the boys as they hurtle through life
Catch the glass before it falls
Catch the arm before he trips
Catch the heart that’s given so freely
Catch!

Oh Adelle ~ great imagery on the word Catch. I like the way you chose to put them together … almost as if I could hear the sound of a catch in between each vignette.
Lovely! Have a great day!

This is an absolutely perfect description of living with littles. I love the details–catching the glass before it falls or the arm as he trips. 🙂
How clever, those words that came from the word catch! I think you changed your blog since I visited last week. Or maybe my memory is off. I tried to leave a comment last friday and had trouble. Enjoyed your post and looking around. Thanks for tweeting about my post last week.
Beautiful! And Oh so true!
love it… Catch and Don’t release… well, not until you absolutely have to.
Love this, talented girl. Miss you! xo
