Puppies or People? You Decide.
Yesterday we spent the day in Monterey – it was lovely, but by the time we arrived home, only one person in the family had gotten a nap, and all of us needed one.
The one person who conked out in the car has more energy than the rust of us already.
By 7pn, we were ready to try the Redneck Time Out.
So instead, I took the puppy for a walk.
He gamboled and hopped and skipped around the block. He sang at the top of his lungs, hooted and hollered.
Reminding me that truly, 4 year old boys are far more like puppies than people.
The smell bad, occasionally.
The like to kiss a lot.
They put everything in their mouth and hate to take a bath.
The are noisy, rowdy, boisterous and have un-ending amounts of energy. They love to wrestle, wrangle and they can fall asleep just about anywhere. They eat non-stop, and they leave crumbs everywhere.
Puppies, or people? You decide.
I don’t think boys have a corner on the puppy behavior.
Does he try to lick the spots of sunshine off the wall? Because that’s what my puppy’s been doing for the last half hour..
