How Times Have Changed! (and cheeks)
March 15, 2012
I ran across this photo recently, and laughed out loud.
That face.
That hair.
Those cheeks!
The too-small sleeper, the strained diaper, the chubby wrists sticking out of the too-short sleeves.
I had forgotten just how chunky my chunky monkey was. Born via c-section at 37 weeks, less than 6 pounds, he was teeny at birth. Scrawny – like a featherless bird.
And then he grew. He grew and he grew and he grew. At his eight week checkup our doctor walked in an announced:
“Your son is a moose!”
We were so proud.
He’s not such a moose anymore. (We were so happy when he finally did develop a neck.) The cheeks have slimmed down, but the dimples are just as beguiling.
