31 Days to Shine
If thou indeed derive thy light from heaven, then to the measure of that heaven-born light, SHINE! …in thy place, and be content.
– William Wordsworth
We were all meant to shine.
But…what does that MEAN?!
To shine…to illuminate. To lighten, or brighten. To add light, shine, glow.
To tell the truth, even when it’s…uncomfortable.
Today was one of those days when I was crying silently behind my computer screen, tears of frustration and embarrassment and fatigue, because, as usual, life is just too BIG.
I want to be free.
And in writing down the words and telling the truth I find it…liberation through words.
When I write, I understand. When I write, I heal.
So I’ll be writing more this week, and next and the week after that. 31 days of more, in fact. *gasp* I know, right? How long has it been since I blogged daily? Ages. Too long.
Perhaps that is why I feel so rusty and tarnished on the inside. My truth finds it’s way to the light through words, and I haven’t been writing the words down much. Lately.
Will you join me? Will you write your truth for 31 days along with me?

Being shiny isn’t about being happy and perfect all the time. It’s about telling the truth, and when we tell the truth, we light the path for someone else.
Go then, and be shiny today! Don’t just do it for yourself, do it for her. She needs your glow.
