>I’ve neglected you.
All summer long, in the far corner of my closet. Dusty, unused, forlorn.
But not unloved, oh no.
Tonight, the first of autumn, the air was snappish. The sky darkening, I felt a chill.
A sweater. Not enough.
Favorite jeans. Not enough.
Warm socks? Not enough.
I needed you. And there you were, waiting.
The best Christmas gift I’ve ever received. Thank you sweetie! They are as comfy today as they were the day they were unwrapped.
